Hello everybody!
This time I'll tell you about my adventures in the snow. As I 've already told you, I'm a sports fan and this time I 'll talk about one of my favorite sports, the snowboarding.
I started being a rider 13 years ago when I was just a teenager. I remember in those moments how good the sensation of sliding on the snow felt, which made my desire to learn more and more. Like all beginners I learned through falls and blows, such as when I fell on my back and when trying to support myself I fractured my wrist. In conclusion falls are part of the learning process, even after learning it is important to know how to fall.
Today I am a more experienced rider, I have better control of my body and balance as well as the risks that exist when doing these sports. I am from Santiago and I mostly go to the ski centers in my city such as EL COLORADO or my favorite VALLE NEVADO, which for me are the best slopes in the country. I have traveled different places in the south of Chile in search of snow powder, such as CORRALCO and NEVADOS DE CHILLÁN, in these the mountain views are spectacular, the forests of native trees are appreciated, mixing white and green colors that produce a satisfying calm and purity, without a doubt one of the sensations that make me love this sport.
Another form of skiing that I adore is the backcountry, which is mainly going up the mountains through a trek and looking for the best mountain for the descent on the board. Without a doubt it is the most dangerous way to snowboard, you have to go with high mountain implements such as GPS and ARVA and always accompanied by another person. It is dangerous, but at the same time it is adrenaline rush to slide over virgin mountains, where you can see the most beautiful landscapes.
We are now starting the winter season and I hope the weather will be with us this year. Because of the drought we have not had good seasons but I have faith that this climate problem will be solved and for that we must contribute with it.
